Neptun Boot launches SafeLite at A-OSH Expo

The A-OSH Expo is a three day event held from the 22^nd – 24^th May at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg. This event showcases Personal Protective Equipment from around the country, and world under one roof on South African soil.

It is one of the biggest events in the PPE supplier and safety wear calendar making it the ideal platform for Neptun Boot to launch their latest new safety boot, SafeLite.

Neptun was established in 1977 in order to supply high-quality PVC gumboots to the general gumboot industry with a strong focus on the mining and agricultural sectors.

In 2005, Neptun launched the Shosholoza mining gumboot. It revolutionised the mining gumboot industry by introducing patented ankle and metatarsal protection.

In 2013, Neptun developed and launched the Stimela XP boot. It is the world’s first metal-free, heavy-duty mining boot with an integral metatarsal protector and has been patented globally.

In 2015, Neptun launched the Strident metal free, dual density PU safety boot with a textile upper. This boot was designed specifically for the harsh mining conditions in South Africa where the traditional leather alternatives failed.

This year at the A-OSH Expo marks the launch of the SafeLite range of leather, dual density safety shoes and boots for the local and African markets. Further additions to the range will follow during the course of the year.

Neptun’s safety products are all certified as ISO EN 20345:2011 and AS/NZS 2210.3 compliant.
