CRADLE TO THE GRAVE

Neptun Boot has an environmental Cradle to Grave Policy with the mining sector whereby new gumboots are supplied to mine workers and old gumboots have to be returned upon new gumboots being issued. The old gumboots are collected by an Approved Recycler for recycling.

The gumboots are washed, granulated and bagged for return to Neptun Boot where they are used again in a blend for use in basic general purpose black gumboots.

This policy protects the environment by reducing the possibility of gumboots lying in dumps or being burned in the environment.
It is Neptun Boot’s environmental intent to extend this policy to include the commercial and agricultural sectors in focusing on recycling.
This reduces the environmental impact as well as keeping costs down in entry-level markets.
